The viewfinder is large and bright with the 57mm f14 lens mounted but darkens quickly with slower lenses. At the end of a small rounding through most of 12 lenses i reach to two lenses Rokkor 58mm 12 and Hexanon 57mm 12. The aperture scale on the right is very bright.

Im a Fujifilm X shooter and while Ive had a Hexanon adapter on hand for some time I just bought the 50mm f14 myself. The Hexanon 5714 beats Hexanons 4018 and 5017 hands down. This is important its what separates the Hexanons 50 17 and 18 as well as the 40 18 from the 57 14 and 12 as well as the 50 14.

Konica Hexanon 57 mm 114 As a slower budget alternative beside the Hexanon Hexanon AR 57 mm F14 the Hexanon Hexanon AR 52 mm F18was offered first towards the end of the construction period with introduction of the Autoreflex T3 the legendary Hexanon AR 50 mm. The 5714 is the first Hexanon I ever used. What little I did find said there werent any parallels to draw between it and the 12 apparently a different design and nothing to be excited about.

2 different designs a 6 element and a 7 element all Ultron types by Wilhelm Tronnier and reverse engineered in Japan by genius inventors. Never had any experience with this Hexanon. I was lucky enough to get a copy that seems pristine as is the Konica FS-1 body that came with it.
